Stories Aloud iPhone App Privacy Policy

This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Stories Aloud (“Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Abigail Rice. The Application offers 20 audio stories with sound effects and music (3 of which are free, the remaining being accessible after a one-time in-app purchase).

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User-Provided Information

When you contact us, you generally provide your name, email address and message. None of these are stored for any longer than it takes for us to reply to your query.

 Automatically Collected Information

The Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application.

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device and none of the information collected is personally identifiable.

We may work with analytics companies to help us understand how the Application is being used, such as the frequency and duration of usage.

We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

In-app Advertising

(Please note, the following statement is pending Apple’s approval) As our app has been deemed acceptable for the Kids Category of the app store, we have had to comply with the following guidelines:

  • The app must include a privacy policy and must comply with applicable children’s privacy statutes.
  • The app may not include behavioural advertising (e.g. the advertiser may not serve ads based on the user’s activity within the App), and any contextual ads presented in the App must be appropriate for kids.
  • The app must require children to get parental permission or use a parental gate before allowing the user to link out of the app or engage in commerce.
  • Apps in the Kids Category must be made specifically for kids ages 5 and under, ages 6-8, or ages 9-11

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes. You can check the history at the bottom of this page.

By using the Application, you are consenting to our use of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
